I offer individual counselling as well as couple and family therapy.
I don’t see young children on their own, but I will support parents to support their children.

I allow 50 minutes for individuals and 90 minutes for couples, families and when we are doing EMDR processing.
You are welcome to ask for a longer appointment. Sometimes we will go over, as I’ll want you to leave feeling emotionally safe. Some weeks you’ll have a lot on! However, if this is consistently happening then I’ll need to book you in for longer appointments and charge accordingly.

50 minute sessions are $190, and 90 minute sessions are $210.
Medicare rebates are available on individual session with a mental health plan from your GP. The rebate is $89.50 and is processed automatically after payment. So you are only out of pocket $100.50 (or @$120.50 for EMDR or longer sessions).
Unfortunately there are no Medicare rebates available for couples and family therapy.

Kintsugi Family Therapy is located at Workspace, Etty Street, Castlemaine. This is the old senior campus of Castlemaine Secondary College.
Room B20 is upstairs in the building closest to the road (but looks out onto gumtrees!) and you enter via the driveway closest to the Wheeler St corner.

Accredited Mental Health Social Workers (AMHSW) are social workers who have extensive postgraduate training and experience in the field of mental health.
Both Psychologists and AMHSWs are required to be registered with their relevant National Accreditation Authority. Both can register with Medicare providing clients with an ability to claim a rebate.AMHSWs provide evidence based focussed psychological strategies (therapuetic techniques) throughout their sessions the same as Psychologists. The main point of difference is that Psychologists are also trained and able to conduct a variety of assessments and provide mental health diagnosis for clients.

Yes, but it varies from month to month. It also depends on your availability. If you can come during the day then I can fit you in quicker than if you require an evening or after school appointment.
If I feel like I can’t see you in a timely manner, then I will refer you onto someone who I think would be a good fit and might have availability.

Sometimes I will, but it will depend on the willingness of each family member to repair to the relationships. I no longer see families for reportable family therapy as it destroys the therapeutic trust a child puts in me and parents are too guarded and scarred by the court process to be vulnerable and speak honestly.
I will happily work with parents who want to create a more harmonious co-parenting arrangement. I wish more parents would engage a family therapist before they engage a family lawyer. It would save them a lot of time, money and heartbreak.
